Privacy policy and cookies.

Thank you for your interest in my page. With this privacy policy, I inform you about the nature, scope and purpose of the personal data I process and your rights as a data subject.

When you visit m2c2.media, the site automatically collects and processes various data, such as:

  • Information about the accessing end device and the software used.
  • Date and time of access
  • Cookies and pseudonymous IDs (such as User-ID, Ad-ID, if applicable)
  • Websites from which the user accesses our website or which the user accesses via our website
  • IP address

The at least temporary storage of the IP address is technically necessary to enable delivery of the website to the user’s computer. Your IP address is stored for up to 14 days for security purposes (Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f DSGVO).

If you would like to receive newsletters from m2c2.media, I require an e-mail address from you as well as information that allows us to verify that you are not a robot. No further data is collected or only on a voluntary basis. I use this data only for sending the requested information and do not pass it on to third parties.

The processing of the data entered in the newsletter registration form is based only on your consent (Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a DSGVO Germany, GDPR EU). You can revoke your consent to the storage of the data, the e-mail address and their use for sending the newsletter, for example via the “unsubscribe” link in the newsletter.

The data you provide with to receive the newsletter will be stored by me or by the newsletter service provider until you unsubscribe from the newsletter and will be deleted from the newsletter distribution list after you unsubscribe from the newsletter or after the purpose has ceased to exist. We reserve the right to delete or block e-mail addresses from our newsletter distribution list at our own discretion within our legitimate interest according to Art. 6 Para. 1 lit. f DSGVO (German Privacy Law).

After you have unsubscribed from the newsletter distribution list, us or the newsletter service provider will store your email address in a blacklist in order to prevent future mailings. The data from the blacklist will only be used for this purpose and will not be merged with other data. This serves both your interest and our interest in complying with the legal requirements when sending newsletters (legitimate interest within the meaning of Art. 6 Para. 1 lit. f DSGVO). We do not limit the storage in the blacklist in time. You can object to the storage if your interests outweigh our legitimate interest.

I use Mailpoet to send newsletters.

MailPoet is a service which, among other things, can organise and analyse the sending of newsletters. The data you enter for the purpose of receiving newsletters is sent via MailPoet’s servers so that MailPoet processes your newsletter-related data (MailPoet Sending Service).

Data analysis by Mailpoet. I can analyse newsletter campaigns. For example, I can see whether a newsletter message was opened and which links were clicked. In this way, we can determine, among other things, which links were clicked on particularly often.

I can also see whether certain previously defined actions were carried out after opening / clicking (conversion rate). For example, I can see whether you have made a purchase after clicking on the newsletter.

MailPoet also enables to subdivide (“cluster”) the newsletter recipients according to various categories. For example, newsletter recipients can be subdivided according to age, gender, or place of residence. In this way, the newsletters can be better adapted to the respective target groups. If you do not want MailPoet to analyse your newsletter, you must unsubscribe.

There are no social media plugins integrated on this website that directly load data from the servers of the social media providers concerned. I integrate the SHARIFF WRAPPER module, that follows the European General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR – Regulation (EU) 2016/679). The module is set to only send links to the social networks, without transmitting personal data. For more information about Shariff (in German), visit the GitHub project page.

Valentinagian.com (m2c2.media) uses cookies and similar technologies to ensure the functionality of our website.

Cookies are small files that your browser stores on your device in a designated directory. Among other things, they can be used to determine whether you have visited a website before. If you agree, login data for an online service can also be stored in cookies so that you do not have to enter this login data every time you call up the site. Many cookies contain a so-called cookie ID. A cookie ID is a unique identifier of the cookie. It consists of a string of characters by which websites and servers can be assigned to the specific internet browser in which the cookie was stored. This enables the websites and servers visited to distinguish the individual browser of the person concerned from other internet browsers that contain other cookies. A specific internet browser can be recognised and identified via the unique cookie ID. Cookies cannot identify you as a person without additional information.

Cookies from third-party providers are also used on this website for the aforementioned purposes and are then responsible for data processing in accordance with Art. 4 No. 7 DSGVO. Further information on the individual cookies can be found at the appropriate place in this data protection declaration.

Unless otherwise stated, the legal basis is Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f DSGVO as well as § 15 para. 3 TMG. In the case of consent pursuant to Art. 6 (1) lit. a DSGVO, you have the right to revoke it at any time without affecting the lawfulness of the processing carried out on the basis of the consent until revocation. In the case of legitimate interest according to Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f DSGVO, our interest consists in particular in the above-mentioned purposes in addition to the fundamental purposes of our business operations.

Insofar as the use of cookies takes place on the legal basis of our legitimate interests (Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f DSGVO) or § 15 para. 3 TeleMediaGesetz (German Electronic Media Law,) you can prevent the setting of cookies by us at any time by means of an appropriate setting of the Internet browser used and thus permanently object to the setting of cookies. Furthermore, cookies that have already been set can be deleted at any time via an internet browser or other software programmes. This is possible in all common Internet browsers. If you deactivate the setting of cookies in the Internet browser used, not all functions of our website may be fully usable. You also have the option of deactivating individual cookies. You will find further information on this at the appropriate point in this data protection declaration.
